About Me

Hi and welcome to Dine-In Dash!

My name is Claire and I live in Charlotte, NC with my fiancé Chris and dog Daisy. Currently I work as a marketing specialist at an Entertainment Distribution company and Chris is busy finishing up his Masters at UNCC in optical engineering.

I started this blog for many reasons. Reason number one has to be the deep appreciation I have recently discovered for cooking and exercising, hence the name…Dine-In Dash.  This is not one of those blogs where I am going to share my recipes and exercise tips and boast about how much I know, because honestly, I’m still learning! I have gone from melting a pork-chop in the oven to putting healthy and well-balanced meals on the table at least 5 nights a week-and that is good enough for me!

Be prepared for triumphs as well as trials. There will be some dishes I can’t wait to share, and some pictures of burned unrecognizable food…triumphs of breaking through to another mile run and probably some low points and self-doubt.

Secondly, I’m about to be a bride.  Incorporating good exercise habits and healthy eating at this time in my life is no coincidence. Running and working-out in general started as a way to try to help me look beautiful on my special day but I’ve come to discover that living a healthy lifestyle makes me feel beautiful everyday and it’s definitely something I like to encourage.

Lastly, I can not think of a better way to hold myself accountable than documenting my progress, whether it be how I’m toning up (fingers crossed) or getting that insane recipe right for the first time! I hope you take this blog for what it’s worth. I’m not here to teach or preach, just share my own tribulations as I work towards a better lifestyle 🙂
